Detox Your Liver and Fight Pain and Inflammation With Homemade Liver Packs. Here’s how

Castor oil packs, also known as liver packs, are known for their wide plethora of benefits, such as boosting immunity, alleviating pain, reducing swelling and inflammation, and promoting detoxification. These days, when we are exposed to chemicals on a daily basis, the liver is very likely to become overwhelmed.  Most people detox too much and finally end up with a swollen or painful liver.  The good news is that castor oil packs have been shown to work great in these instances.

They are also packed with potent anti-inflammatory and lymph stimulating properties. According to a 1999 study,

“With a minimal 2-hour therapy period, this study found that castor oil packs produced a “significant” temporary increase in the number of T-11 cells that increased over a 7 hour period following treatment and then returned to normal levels within 24 hours later.”

“The T-11 cell increase represents a general boost in the body’s specific defense status. Lymphocytes actively defend the health of the body by forming antibodies against pathogens and their toxins. T-cell lymphocytes originate from bone marrow and the thymus gland as small lymphocytes that identify and kill viruses, fungi, bacteria, and cancer cells. T-11 cell lymphocytes supply a fundamental antibody capability to keep the specific defense system strong.”

What is a Castor Oil Pack?

Castor oil pack is made of pieces of flannel which are thoroughly soaked in castor oil and then applied to the affected area.  Flanner has high bioavailability, but feel free to replace it with something else if you are allergic to it.
