Quick, Easy, Cheap Home Remedy To Get Rid Of Skin Tags

Skin tags are tiny benign skin growths, resembling small balloons of hanging skin. They can be either flesh-colored or darkly pigmented. Being benign skin growths, they are harmless, but can be quite annoying.  They are very common, affecting people of all ages and both genders.  The medical name for skin tags is acrochordon and obesity is associated with their development.

These tiny skin growths typically develop on the armpits, neck, face, chest, and around the groin, meaning areas where skin rubs against skin. Their number may vary from one to hundreds and even though some of them often fall off spontaneously; most of them remain once formed.

Most doctors suggest their removal only at the point when they are quite irritated, become a source of discomfort, or they are a cosmetic problem to the person being affect. They can be removed by cutting them after administering a small amount of anesthetic. Another common method used to remove skin tags is the freezing, a method which is also used to remove all kinds of benign lesions and warts.

The good news is that Dr. Doug Willen shares a simple way to remove skin tags for good and put an end to the discomfort they bring, without undergoing a method like freezing or cutting.  You only need some apple cider vinegar, which has been already shown to work wonders for skin issues like skin tags, moles, and acne.

Instructions:

  • First and foremost, you need to clean the area thoroughly, using clean water and soap
  • Pat dry the skin with a soft towel
  • Soak a cotton ball in ACV, remove the excess liquid, and apply onto the affected area
  • The exposure should last from a few minutes to an hour. You may want to experiment and see what works for you best
  • Repeat the procedure a couple of times daily

Once that is destroyed, it should turn black and die. It typically takes a few weeks for the skin tag to fall off, although everyone responds differently to the treatment.

Note: You may need to dilute the apple cider with a few drops of water due to its acidity which may cause itching or slight burning sensation.

To sum up, instead of spending a little fortune on cosmetic surgery to remove skin tags, consider using this natural alternative. Apple cider vinegar is cheap, effective, and all-natural ingredient whose acidic properties provide a wide range of health benefits and make it a viable solution to removing skin tags.

How to remove moles, warts, blackheads, skin tags, and age spots completely naturally

Being the largest organ in the human body, the skin acts as a barrier while protecting the body from harmful environment.  However, most people take it for granted and become aware of its importance when something like wart or skin tag appears!  This article focuses on natural remedies to treat skin issues like moles, warts, blackheads, and skin tags.  Before we go into details, let`s go through the importance of skin first.

What Makes Our Skin So Important?

The skin is made of three layers, known as an epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis. As the largest organ in the body, it serves three important functions:

  • It protects us from elements like the sun, snow, or rain; external impacts and pressure; and chemicals, radiation, and micro-organisms
  • It regulates body temperature, circulation, and fluid balance as well as metabolism and synthesis of vitamin D
  • It senses pain and pressure as well as hot and cold temperatures

However, besides the protection it offers, the skin is not impenetrable. In other words, wounds like cuts affect all three layers of the skin.  The good news is that we can see moles, blackheads, skin tags, and age spots right away, as they appear on the outermost visible layer.

Conventional Removal Methods

If you don’t have the patience to wait for warts, skin tags, or blackheads to go away on their own, you can undergo any of the conventional removal methods available:

  • Topical treatments like applying retinoid cream offer longer solution and are the least extreme
  • Cryotherapy uses extreme cold to freeze the warts or skin tags prior removal
  • Laser surgery uses use lasers to “burn” them off

8 Easy Ways to Remove Skin Tags Without Seeing a Doctor

Skin tags, medically referred to as acrochordon, are result of accumulation of collagen and blood vessels in thicker parts of the skin.  They typically develop in skin creases and folds, which leads researchers to believe that skin rubbing against the skin is a possible cause of skin tags.  Both males and females are prone to skin tags and it is believed that obesity is a potential contributor to their development. They are small bits of dark tissue and their number may vary from one to a few hundreds.

It is worth mentioning that they are benign skin growths, meaning that they are harmless. Given that they are benign skin growths, it means that they may fall off on their own and in most cases they don’t seek medical attention.  A couple of DIY remedies will do the trick, and the most of effective are presented below:

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Simply soak a cotton ball in ACV and apply over the affected area.  For optimal results, repeat the procedure on a regular basis for about a month.

2. Pineapple Juice

Using pineapple juice for removing skin tags is one of the simplest remedies and is known to work on warts and moles, too.  All you have to do is to apply fresh pineapple juice on the skin tag two or three times daily.   Repeat the procedure for at least 10 days in a row.

3. Onion Juice

Cut an onion in halves and leave it overnight in a container filled with salt.  In the morning, simply extract the juice.  For skin tag removal, you should apply onion juice on the skin tag every night, over the course of 10-12 days.

4. Tea Tree Oil

Soak a cotton ball in pure water and then pour a few drops of tea tree oil on the ball. Rub the skin tag with this solution, using circular motions.  Repeat the process twice daily for a week.

5. Castor Oil

Mix a few drops of castor oil with a little baking powder to create a paste.  Apply the paste onto the affected area on a regular basis, for 2-4 weeks.

6. Banana Peel

Cut a small piece of the banana peel and place the inner part directly onto the skin tag. Secure with gauze and leave it on overnight.  Repeat the procedure on a daily basis until the skin tag eventually falls off.

7. Nail Polish

Interestingly, nail polish works as an effective and simple skin tag remover! Simply apply some nail polish onto the affected area, leave it on until dry, and remove.  Repeat the procedure three times daily for a couple of days.

8. Duct Tape

Last but not least, duct tape works as an effective remedy, causing the skin tag to die and shrink.  First and foremost, make sure the affected area is clean and dry.  Cut a piece of tape and cover the skin tag, pressing firmly on the tape.  Repeat this procedure continuously for 5 to 7 days until the skin tags fall off.
