The idea of combining watermelon and cayenne pepper will be found as at least unusual if not even unappealing by most people, but the truth is that this combo is one of the most potent! These two ingredient watermelon are two completely opposite foods, and seemingly without anything in common. However, it turn out that they share a robust nutritional profile which will provide us  with many wide-ranging health benefits.

The Nutritional and Health Benefits of Watermelon and Cayenne Pepper:

Watermelon – In addition to  its ability to quench the thirst on a hot, summer day,  watermelon also acts as a natural diuretic. It is quite effective in alleviating bloating due to its high-water content. It is also packed with essential vitamins, particularly  Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that boosts the immune system, in turn aiding our bodies in the fight against various infections and diseases. Watermelon is also abundant in lycopene, a naturally occurring chemical which is known for its powerful cancer-fighting properties. Ultimately, watermelon is also a good source of l-citrulline, an amino acid that protects against muscle pain.

Cayenne pepper – This South American pepper improves the metabolism and helps burn the excess calories. It is rich in flavonoids and carotenoids, both of which contribute to eye health and prevention of the onset of macular degeneration. Cayenne pepper is also rich in capsaicin, an active component that can relieve pain and improve joint function. This makes the cayenne pepper an ideal natural remedy for everyone who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis or gout. Furthermore, the consumption of cayenne pepper raises the temperature of the body and stimulates sweating, which is very beneficial for the overall health because it encourages  removal of toxic matter from the system.

Homemade Muscle Rub Recipe with Turmeric, Coconut oil and Cayenne pepper for Quick Relief

Muscle pains and soreness are extremely common! As a matter of fact, “pain affects more Americans than diabetes, heart disease and cancer combined,” according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Everyone experiences pain of some kind, no matter whether it is caused by sleeping in a bad position, spending too much sitting, or practicing yoga.

Pain can be also caused by any disease or an infection. According to the mayoclinic.org, the following are the most common causes of muscle pain:

  • Medications, especially the cholesterol medications known as statins
  • Muscle cramp
  • Repetitive strain injuries
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Sprains and strains
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Hypothyroidism
  • Influenza (flu)
  • Lyme disease

Foods for Pain Relief

1. Coconut Oil

Besides the many health benefits it provides, coconut oil works as an amazing pain reliever. It has been associated with relieving stomach aches, arthritis, and colds. It is abundant in many anti-inflammatory properties which combat diseases and provide relief from arthritis. Therefore, the consumption of coconut oil can help soothe sore joints and bones. In addition to this, it has been found that coconut oil stimulates blood flow to painful muscles and joints, which in turn helps them heal.

2. Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne pepper can be used as both pain reliever and blood flow stimulant. Capsaicin in hot peppers basically tricks the brain into believing that the area we have applied it on is hot, which in turn blinds the nerves. Capsaicin provides relief from muscle soreness, lower back pain, and arthritis.

3. Ginger and Turmeric

Both ginger and turmeric act as strong anti-inflammatory agents and have been long used to treat rheumatoid arthritis.

Ginger is a time-tested remedy for pain of many kinds including lower back pain, stomach pain, and chest pain. It has been shown that it also provides relief of rheumatoid arthritis.

Turmeric and its active compound called curcumin are one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory agents known to man. It has been found that turmeric provides relief from inflammation and chronic pain.

The muscle rub recipe below combines all the ingredients outlined above and it works wonders for sore muscles!

How to Stop a Heart Attack In 1 Minute?

Did you know that you can actually stop a heart attack in one minute? John Christopher, a popular herbalist, has discovered a method which can stop a heart attack in 60 seconds. The ingredient he discovered to be able to stop a heart attack is cayenne pepper. This natural ingredient is so amazing that it can save lives.

How to Use Cayenne Pepper

According to the Scoville Heat Units, cayenne pepper has at least 90,000 Scoville units. Hence, if you or someone around you is having a heart attack, make sure you give them a teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a glass of water. Note that the patient has to be conscious. In case the person is unconscious, you can use cayenne pepper extract. All you should do is put a few drops under the tongue for results.

This powerful ingredient will increase the heart rate and balance the circulation. Moreover, cayenne pepper will carry blood to all parts of the body. It will stop bleeding instantly and help in heart attack recovery.

Dr Schulz’s Cayenne Tincture Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Cayenne pepper powder
  • 1-3 fresh cayenne peppers
  • 50% alcohol (you can use vodka)
  • 1-litre glass bottle
  • Gloves

Instructions:

First, you should wear gloves for safety. Then, fill a quarter of the glass bottle with cayenne pepper powder. Next, pour in just enough alcohol that it covers the powder. Then, take a blender and mix the cayenne pepper and alcohol mixture. Add the mixture to the bottle so that  ¾ of the bottle is filled. Then, you should fill the bottle to the top with alcohol and put the lid on. Shake the bottle several times a day. Store the tincture in a dark place for 14 days. Then, strain it and keep it in a dark bottle. It never spoils.

If the patient is conscious and suffered a heart attack, you should give them 5-10 drops of the tincture. Then, give another 5-10 drops after 5 minutes. Repeat the treatment until the patient’s condition improves.

On the other hand, if the person is unconscious, you should put 1-3 drops under their tongue, and begin CPR. Then, repeat the treatment after 5 minutes, and repeat it every 5 minutes until their condition improves.

The Painkilling Cayenne Cream Recipe That Anyone With Stiff Joints Or Sore Muscles Needs To Try

Need a soothing and relaxing muscle rub for pain?

What if I told you the recipe below is chemical-free and 100% natural?

Capsaicin, one of cayenne powder’s active constituents, stimulates the release of something known as “substance P” in the body. Substance P is released from nerve cells and the inflammatory cells of the immune system.

Substance P is most noted for its role in helping the body perceive pain, and in stimulating the release of various cytokines to induce a healthy inflammatory response.

Cayenne powder also dilates blood vessels, which allows for more anti-inflammatory cells to make their way to the affected area. When substance P is released and subsequently depleted, as is the case when you repeatedly apply cayenne, the threshold of pain in that area increases. This is also known as pain desensitization.

What happens is the area actually feels less painful. This allows you to take some much-needed steps to help that part of the body heal. Whether it be walking, stretching, exercises or physical therapy, with the assistance of cayenne, you can help your body heal a lot sooner!

The Magic of the Other Ingredients

This rub is full of additional ingredients that will help your tired, achy muscles relax and even heal some!

Coconut oil is a wonderful oil that nourishes the skin. It is antimicrobial so is a perfect base for this rub. Coconut oil has been shown to have its own pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. (3)

Raw cocoa butter is nourishing to the skin. It contains a high amount of antioxidants (just like chocolate) and will be nicely absorbed by the skin along with the beneficial herbs to help penetrate the muscles below.

Ginger is a spice with a long history of use in both Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is naturally anti-inflammatory and warming. When used in a muscle rub, it will help stimulate the movement of blood flow. This allows for new blood to come into the area, bringing with it new immune cells that help push along old blood containing inflammatory cells that have done their job at the site of pain. (4)

Turmeric, similar to ginger, is a spice with a very long history of use for its anti-inflammatory and healing effects. Turmeric will help to reduce swelling and keep the body’s inflammation in check. Remember, inflammation is good for the healing process. But not when the body is chronically inflamed. (5)

Peppermint Essential Oil has menthol in it. This is another common compound used for muscle soreness as it will reduce pain and relax the muscles. Peppermint cools an area, providing similar relief as ice. (6) There is a nice balance here with the ginger and the peppermint. The former is working to warm the area and bring new blood flow and immune cells, while the later is constricting the muscles and moving the blood along to get rid of waste.
